Summer Picnic Lunch and Walk– Sat 18 July. Details and payment

All South Cotswold Ramblers members are invited to a Picnic Walk and Lunch on Saturday 18 July

Olivia will be leading a 4 mile walk from Avening Sports and Social Club (GL8 8NL) starting at 10am and going to Cherington Ponds. It is a Terrain 2 walk – hilly and level mix – with 7 stiles. Please note that the toilets will not be open at the club at the start of the walk but there are toilets at Nailsworth Garden Centre (GL6 0BS) not far away.

After the walk there is a buffet of cake, sandwiches, quiches, sausage rolls and crisps, and tea and coffee, provided by members of the Avening WI.

You do not need to do the walk, you can just book and come to the lunch, or you can do the walk and stay for the picnic. Where possible please car share and park considerately.

The cost will be £8 per person. To attend this you need to pay and book in advance as follows:

• then email sally@southcotswoldramblers.org.uk to say who you have paid for and any dietary requirements. Also whether you are planning on a) walking or b) not walking but just coming for the picnic

Alternatively hand correct money in envelope with contact tel no and names of attendees and whether you are walking or no walk, just picnic to Ann, Sally, Carol or Tina on a walk.

Deadline for booking and payment is SUNDAY 28 JUNE. There is a limit on numbers so book early (but it’s fairly generous). No option to turn up and eat your own food or to pay on the day, nor to do the walk and not pay for the picnic!

If you are coming for the picnic only, and not doing the walk beforehand, please arrive at the Sports and Social Club at 1pm.

The Picnic Walks of the last 3 years were so successful that we have decided to carry on, using a different venue and with a different walk.
