We believe Rodborough Hill (which was closed today Friday 12th above the Prince Albert) will be open tomorrow Saturday for Tina’s walk from the car park by the Fort. Tina talked to a Severn Trent worker who said that they were just finishing. However, if it turns out not to be the case, suggested diversion is to continue along the A46 and use Bear Hill to get up to the common. However, Wales and West Utilities have a one way traffic light system on the A46 outside the Fleece at Rooksmoor which was causing big jams today. There is currently a Road Closed sign on the junction above the ice cream factory but ignoring this should give you access to the Rodborough Fort car park. There is no information about whether these road problems will be in place on Saturday. Hopefully you will be able to go straight up Rodborough Hill from the A46 in Stroud to the start of the walk.
