A snowy car park at Rodborough Fort for our first walk of 2026 led by Richard, who points out that, despite leading hundreds of walks under all sorts of conditions through his lifetime including Snowdon, he is going to be rejected as a leader by Ramblers head office!!
We set off across Rodborough Common towards the ice cream factory
Dazzled by the sun
We get to Amberley
Coffee stop in Manor Woods where Richard gets rid of some of his chocolate biscuits (but not the bottles of Jameson’s whiskey) he got for Christmas
Continuing through the wood to Bear Hill
Then we are out in the sun
And heading back to the fort
Passing a nativity en route
