Ramblers head office proposals for walks leaders – clarification
You should all have received your email sent out by Ros, our membership secretary, which included our next walks programme, and, more controversially, Ramblers head office’s proposals about required criteria for continuing as a walks leader.
Just to clarify – the 3rd category – 3) Certify that you have done 12 walks in the last three years is as a Walks Leader, not just as a participant. So unless you have LED that number of walks from the beginning of 2023 until the end of 2025, you do not fulfil this requirement. Some of you who might be close to that 12 might like to make sure they lead a walk before the end of 2025. You can reserve a date for the October – December period in advance before the dates appear on the Walk Planning progress page on the Leaders menu.
