A quick update on the surface upgrade scheme on the Nailsworth to Woodchester section of the cycleway.
The contractor will be commencing operations on site on Monday 23rd September and the works are programmed to last for around six weeks. The contractor has also provided a method statement and requested sections of the route be closed for safety reason whilst the new surface is laid. This is due to large vehicle movements required to bring materials to site and allow the product to cure once laid.
There will be “advanced notice” signs to be erected along the route to warn the public that sections of the cycleway will be unavailable during the working day starting from this coming Monday. These signs will be in place by the end of today (Weds 18 September)
For information the contractor will be starting works at the Nailsworth end of the route.
