We start to assemble in the layby for Loren and Harry’s Leckhampton hill walk

While the dire Hungry Horse opposite remains abandoned

We gradually make our way up to the top of Leckhampton Hill

With a hazy view over Cheltenham

Steep steps down after our coffee break

We pass below the Devil’s Chimney

We stop at the horse-drawn tramway system that moved stone from the quarry

Then walk down the tramway

How did those shoes get up there?

The sun comes out and there’s a clearer view of Cheltenham

And we follow the path below our outward route, passing the Belted Galloways we saw from above.
