Large scale development affecting the Cotswold Way at Lower Kilcott Farm

Hi members

Our group footpath committee has discussed this matter and put in an objection to a planning application at Lower Kilcott Farm Hillesley GL12 7RL for change of use from a small rural farm to a large scale forestry enterprise that will be reliant on bringing in and then distributing large volumes of timber to/from the site. Access is via a single track lane on the Cotswold Way and Monarch Way used by countless walkers on foot, bicycle and horseback all of whom are at risk from passing vehicles – especially HGV’s and lorries.

The Cotswold Conservation Board, CPRE and many others have recommended refusal already but we need as many objections as possible on highway grounds.

Stroud District Council will determine the application in the next few days. This is therefore URGENT.

Members and other walkers will be at even greater risk if it is approved.

To make an objection go to

Stroud District Council Planning

and search for S.19/2094/FUL or Lower Kilcott Farm. and click on Make an Objection.

Thanks
