Holiday Photos Day 1 Day 2 Day 4 Day 5 |
|
We assemble outside the hotel on another sunny morning
And take a short walk to Dunster station
Time to look round the waiting room before the train comes
A few holes in the bottom of the bucket
Let's hope they don't get a fire
Plenty of reading matter as we wait for the train to Bishops Lydeard
And here it approaches from Minehead
And powers into the station
Time for another quick photo as we arrive at Washford
Where we start our walk | |
Heading across the gently rolling countryside
With Exmoor in the distance
A few stiles to negotiate
A leisurely coffee break
From the top of the hill we look down on racing stables and gallops
Now working our way down
And along the top of the gallops, the yard of Philip Hobbs
In Withycombe we have lunch in the churchyard
Before going into the church for a look around
A summary of where we are
A wonderfully carved rood screen
Some of us partake of the tea and coffee making facility, thoughtfully provided
Our route now takes us up the hill below Bats Castle
Then down through the woods
To Gallox Bridge where Peter again tries to walk on water
And Di and Heather clean their boots
Then it's back through Dunster to the hotel |
