		Mike's photos - Arriving at Nether Grange, Alnmouth, the first walk (after a welcome cup of tea) is around the village .
		On the terrace .
		The buttresses give a clue to the former use of the house, a grain store .
		We set off .
		Roger gives us snippets of information .
		We head towards the river mouth .
		And we spot a cross on the hill across the river. This used to be the site of the village's church, cut off when the river changed course .
		Zooming in on the lighthouse .
		A better view of the cross .
		A lovely late afternoon .
		But to the north the sky looks a bit dark .
		Some of us pop across the 9 hole golf couse to see .
		The sea .
		Clouds are gathering .
		We beat a hasty retreat to Nether Grange looking forward to dinner .

		And looking to the north along the coast which will be our route in the morning .
