		Some of us are keen to try the Cliff Railway - others take the more stenuous option by walking down! .
		The floral displays are magnificent .
		Our carriage awaits .

		We all meet up at the bottom in Lynmouth .
		And start climbing steeply up .
		The path is much longer than we guessed, as it zigs .
		And zags upwards .
		And yet again upwards .
		Eventually we emerge .
		High above Watersmeet on the Two Moors Way .
		The river is down there somewhere .
		Yes, really .
		We press on .
		Looking back towards the sea .
		Time for a banana, says Brian .
		Is that our Hotel in the mist? .
		We decide to take the direct route .
		Down rather deep steps .
		To the refreshments at Watersmeet .
		Some of us stop to look .
		At the natural spectacle .
		We cross the river .
		And feed ourselves (and the birds) .
		Afterwards we are led up Countisbury .
		With the odd glance to see where we have come from .
		Above the tree line .
		We reach base camp!? .
		Crossing the A39 .
		The last push .
Bruno looks back .
From where we have come .
Whilst John is eager .
To reach the coast path which will take us back to Lynmouth .
Down we go .
Enjoying a glimmer .
Of afternoon sunshine .
Yes, we are on the right track .
Nearly there .
And we cross the river back into Lynmouth, where we bide a while before the drive home .
