Holiday Photos
.
We start our walk near Lee Abbey, which we reached walking from Lynton on Friday
.
And head through the hamlet
.
And on to the coast path westwards high above the Bristol Channel
.
Near Woody Bay
.
We have our elevenses stop
.
Looking back from whence we came
.
And downwards onto the rocky shore far below
.
Brian thinks it worth a photo - like the colour!
.
Ross surveys the distant coastline
.
We are off again
.
Warm work as we reach the place where we turn inland
.
High above Heddon's Mouth
.
Down we go
.
And back along the valley floor
.
To the stoney beach
.
Many stay and admire the sea from afar
.
Whilst a couple of us get up close and personal
.
You can't beat it
.
Everyone waits for our return
.
That's where they want to be!
.
After lunch, some need extra sustenance, although Denys wonders if it is wise
.
Some need a lick whatever he says!
.
We head up the valley
.
Not too fast after lunch
.
The locals look on
.
The Heddon trickles seawards
.
It's time to do some serious climbing
.
After crossing the river
.
Up we go
.
Steeply up
.
Is it raining? Certainly a bit misty. Over 900 feet above sea level
.
Later we gradually descend.
.
An odd diversion around a farmyard
.
And back through the woods to Lee Bay

top As you can see, as well as getting to know the South Cotswolds, we arrange the occasional walking holiday. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers.
