		Our starting point - Aston Clun beside the Arbor Tree
		Which is decorated as part of the annual village celebration
		Our route lies through the village following a stream
		Would have thought they might have swum across
		Now heading up a pretty valley
		Heading towards
		Hopesay and St Mary's church
		Which we reach via a lych gate
		A look inside
		Before we leave the church with its unusual wooden tower
		Continuing up the valley through the Walcot Estate
		Past a hippy home
		We reach Bury Ditches where we stop for lunch
		Continuing across the prehistoric site we pass a wood carving
		On the back of which is a diagram of the old village
		Crossing the top of the hill
		We have views of the Long Mynd
		The harvest well advanced
		And a chance to buy jam from a stall outside a farm
		Before making our way into Clun
		And a quick look at its castle - or remains thereof
