		We start today by catching a steam train from Porthmadog to Beddgelert .
		Where we head out through the village .
		And yes, it's raining .
		Our route takes us along the Aberglaslyn Pass .
		At times quite hairy .
		And always spectacular .
		And dramatic .
		And exciting .
		We then make our way up Cwm Bychan .
		A steady climb .
		Still raining .
		Passing the remains of the old rope tramline .
		Nearing the top .
		Still cheerful .
		Looking back .
		Are we nearly there? .
		Yes, the top of the valley where we should have had views of Snowdon .
		Instead we have views of our leaders, Diana and Richard .
		We realise how wet we have become .
		We start our descent .
		Following a stoney track .
		Steeply at times .
		Concentrating .
		Towards Llyn Dinas .
		The heather now a deep purple .
Eventually reaching the side of the lake .
Where we pause .
And have our photo taken - or not .
Before heading down the valley .
Ignoring this sign .
To reach Beddgelert .
Stopping at a gift shop .
Then heading to the station .
Where the train soon arrives .
With its strange looking engine .
To take us back to Portmaddog
