		Whilst Richard leads the main party up Snowdon, Diana leads a select group on an "easier" walk .
		We set off from our hotel .
		Over the river .
		With its dramatic waterfall .
		Thundering over the rocks .
		And up into the woods .
		Steeply up picking our way between the rocks .
		A misty morning .
		As we look down into the Conwy valley .
		Taking care .
		The moist atmosphere encourages lots of unfamiliar and exotic growths .

		A whole colony on this tree trunk .
		Di points out an old mine .
		Further up we pass a waterfall .
		And more fungi .
		Di leads on to our coffee stop .
		At the lake, Llyn-y-Parc .
		Beads of water on the spiders web amongst the devil's bit scabious .
		The lake is much lower than it used to be, a safety precaution against the dam bursting .
		Jam tart anyone?
		The man made lake looks so natural .

		We know nothing, so just admire from afar .

We continue .
Losing height .
At our lunch stop near Llanrwst we have another shower .
It soon stops and we are ready for the afternoon .
Up again regaining the height we lost before lunch .
The camera brings out the best in us .

Is that Snowdon? .
Or perhaps it's over there? .
We pass a property with possibilities .
And start our descent .
Taking care .
A very steep and tricky descent .
Back into Betws-y-Coed .
Rapidly passing and ignoring the most expensive outdoor shop .
And back to our accommodation in The Stables Lodge situated above Cotswold Outdoor - very good too. We are looking forward to a refreshing shower after our 8 mile walk with 2,200 feet of ascent. Not Snowdon, but a pretty good walk! .
