Barmouth
Spring 2005 Day 5

Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4
Our final day, and Brian had chosen the famous Precipice Walk near to Dolgellau.
Dry conditions yet again - how does Brian do it?
Our approach to the Precipice Walk is through the lovely Nannau Estate.
The precipice is on the far side of these crags.
.
We catch a glimpse of Llyn Cynwch before we start to climb, and will return along its shore.
.
When we round Moel Cynwch to the north, the Precipice Walk proper will begin.
Here we go ...
As they say, this walk is not recommended for those who do not have a head for heights or suffer from vertigo.
In all directions one is transfixed by magnificent views. The path runs at about 700 feet above the river.
Sheer below is the vale of the Afon Mawddach.
Looking north towards Lynn Trawsfynydd.
Single file all the way.
Scroll right to see everyone.
Can you spot the path we have just used!
Past the worst - or is that the best - bit!
The majestic heights of Cader Idris come into view beyond Dolgellau.
And we return along the shores of Llyn Cynwch.
A great holiday, and thanks go to Brian for all his hard work in organising it.
