Dorset Autumn 2004 Day 4 |
|
Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 5 | ||
A walk along the beautiful coastine towards Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, and the weather is looking up.
Our first descent of many towards ...
... the spectacular cliff path.
Looking back and you may spot Portland Bill in the distance.
The Dorset coastline is a World Heritage Site.
Quite an energetic walk up and down!
Careful how you go - this is a lot steeper than it looks.
We take our time and pick our own route - some nearer the edge than others.
Our first view of Durdle Door.
Karen and Bruno take the longer option, off to Lulworth Cove, another couple of miles and more ups and downs, whilst the rest of us ....
... relax in the sunshine enjoying a leisurely picnic.
Norman and Tony contemplate the beautiful views.
Time to head up "Scratchy Bottom" (yes it's true) for a cuppa at the cafe and to meet up with Karen and Bruno before ...
... we all team up again for the walk along the inland ridge path back.
Later we rejoin the coast path for a section we missed this morning,
What can you say? | ||
Careful now, Bernard and Hilary!
The end of a memorable walk.
