> Holidays photos <		Buxton and the Peak District Autumn 2003 Day 3

	The third day was spent in the White Peak.
	We assembled for our walk in Hartington, a delightful village.
	We set off uphill out of the village.
	Amazingly clear weather in the morning.
	We then headed down a valley to towards our picnic place.
	This was on the banks of the River Dove.
	After lunch we followed the river for quite a way downstream.
	The weather clouded up and we had a spot of rain. After a steep climb we came upon this magnificent new gate.
	Some of the squeeze stiles proved a bit tight.
	Delightful countryside in any weather.
	Pleasingly, it cleared up again for the end of the walk back into Hartington.
