Peter explains how he came to
choose the first walk just outside Llandovery. |
Good to be walking after our
journey to Wales. |
The obligatory Group shot
before we descend to the cars. |
Super remote countryside. |
Soar-y-Mynydd chapel is very
isolated, but still used by 40 people each Sunday. We started our walk
here along the Cambrian Way and went south. |
We climbed up to about 1500
feet to the viewpoint. |
Our first glimpse of the
Doethie Valley |
All down hill from here.
A super picnic spot in the
valley. |
Gradually we approach
civilisation. The hill ahead is an RSPB reserve. We are in Red Kite
Country. |

It rained on Sunday, but just
gently. We had misty views of the local foothills, and found a good pub
to recuperate in at lunchtime. |
From Llanerchindda Farm we
had good views over the Cyngordy Viaduct. |
