Hambutts Field, Painswick, on the Cotswold Way, where the memorial sculpture to commemorate the life of Tony Drake MBE was unveiled by Ramblers' President Kate Ashbrook.
   Benedict Southworth, Ramblers' Chief Executive paid tribute to Tony, and said every generation of Ramblers needed a Tony! Frank Wragg, Gloucestershire's President and keeper of the trophy in his garage for many years, lurks behing the memorial ready to assist with the unveiling.

Janet Davis, a long serving member of staff in the London office of the Ramblers, gave us a real insight into how Tony got people to do things by being a keen committee member, and how he really put the pressure on all sorts of people and organisations to achieve worthwhile improvements for walkers throughout Great Britain over 60 years
