The Harder group are dropped off in Ambergate and set off across fields
The first bluebell? | |
They pose for a group photo with Alan, their leader
Ominous clouds in the background
They too ascend to the memorial to the Sherwood Foresters
Where Alan reads from his notes
Then descend to the tram tracks
Where they actually see the tram from Crich Tramway Museum
They cross the stream at Lea
Then head to the church at Dethick
Where they learn that, as well as Florence Nightingale, the author of Little Grey Rabbit books was a local resident
All this information to be found on the noticeboard in the churchyard.
They pass a pretty island
And a big house | |
And get to Riber | |
With its castle. | |
They too descend past Alison Uttley's cottage where there is work going on on the wall.
At the River Derwent Alan stops and consults his notes
Then heads along the Cromford Canal
Passing butterburr on the way to Arkwright's Mill. |
