		Seventeen South Cotswold Ramblers start their walking holiday in Shanlin on 22nd October 2007
		Three of the five walks are to be led by leaders from Step by Step Holidays, but this one and the one on Friday are self led. .
		Can't resist this shot as we set off. .
		Not many of our walks have three leaders, none of whom has done a pre-walk! .
		Autumn nearly here .
		Everyone stretching their legs after their journey .
		Did we turn the gas off? .
		Crossing Isle of Wight International Airport instructions are given .
		Heads down in case of low flying aircraft .
		Pretty close .
		Further on we see more capable of flight - including these owls. The path runs adjacent to the pens. .
		In Borth Wood (NT) we discuss our thoughts on caged birds. Jim checks his GPS and Kathy is convinced we are on the correct route .
		Artistically Patrick frames the tractor being mobbed by gulls as it harvests potatoes .
		The terrain is extremely up and down in short bursts .
		Views over the market gardening to the white cliffs beyond Sandown .
		And then we discover a dastardly sight .
		Tracey decides to investigate! .
		False alarm. We arrive back in Shanklin and have fun navigating through the network of streets .
		Is this our hotel? - adults only - the mind boggles .
		In good spirits after a seven miler. Our three leaders have risen to the challenge .
		Some dash off for a swim .
		Others contemplate the lovely nerines .
