Breakfast time on the final
day ... |
Olivia presented Peter with a
token of our thanks for devising such a varied and interesting walking
holiday. |
Twelve of us opted to do the
final walk on the Monday morning. |
We passed the second highest
Inn in the country, the Cat and Fiddle (on the skyline). |
The wind was strong enough to
lean into, and it started to rain, but were we worried? No! |
As we dropped down towards
the reservoirs in the Goyt Valley the rain and winds eased off. |
The scenery was magnificent,
and surely much quieter on a Monday than at the weekend. |
We passed an old bridge which
had been relocated when the valley was flooded to make the reservoirs. |
The Monday group pose for one
last photo. Roll on the next holiday! |
