Spring 2005 Day 1
Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5

Brian chose southern Snowdonia for our Spring walking holiday.
Some of us meet in the village of Bontddu and go on our first afternoon walk up to the site of the old gold mines.
As we climb up the river gorge we gradually become warmer.
.
The entrance to one of the abandoned gold mines.
.
Brian wonders if there is still gold in them there hills.
The river tumbles down to the Mawddach estuary below.
Time for the group photo call.
The sun shines more as we return to our cars.
The Arbour Hotel (the tall one) is our base over the next 5 days.
There are wide views over the fascinating beach at Barmouth and the mountains beyond the estuary.
We see the RNLI inshore lifeboat crew out on an exercise.
