Howgill Fells Autumn 1999 Mike and Heather led this time, the Group staying at Farfield House and Oakdene Country House, near Sedbergh. We hope you find these 15 photos interesting. Some stunning scenery!

	1. Some of the twenty eight members pose for the Group photo on the slopes of Winder Fell above Sedbergh, Cumbria (Yorkshire Dales National Park).
	2. We enjoy a refreshment break before climbing Cautley Spout.
	3. Up the valley towards the Spout and highest point of the fells, The Calf (2,220 feet).

	7. Amazing scenery. 600 feet of waterfalls. And when we got to the top there was the view. Wainwright called it the best viewpoint in England, encompassing the outline of the Lake District, the Three Peaks of Yorkshire and the sun glinting on Morecambe Bay.
	8. From Sedbergh we walked over Frostrow Fell to Dent. Note the Howgill Fells in the background.
	9. Walking into Dentdale though the farm that supposedly inspired Wuthering Heights.
	10. A giant step for mankind... especially Tracey.
	11. Walking into Dent village for a midday stop, and perhaps a pint of the local ale (one is enough!)
	12. Yes, another photo-opportunity! Just the right size for the group.
	13. Brian negotiates a stone squeeze stile, complete with gate. The farmers take no chances!
	14. Back before it rains overnight. Tomorrow is another day (sunny in fact).
	15. And we had lovely sunshine at some time each day throughout the holiday!
