Walk 3
Painswick and Pitchcombe
This 5 mile walk starts in the picturesque village of Painswick. There is an interesting lychgate to the churchyard with its famous yew trees, and stocks just outside at the rear. Painswick has many 16th century buildings and its narrow streets provide fascinating views of these.

The walk follows the Painswick stream and passes several old mill buildings. There is then a climb to Pitchcombe and after walking through this lovely village a further climb is made to Pitchcombe Wood. The path around the edge affords superb views.

From Edge Common a descent is made to cross the Washbrook, then tracks and field paths are taken to climb back up to Painswick.
