Off we go along the Vale of St John
Easy going at first | |
Roger our leader | |
We start to climb | |
Obtaining good views | |
And we arrive at the church
Looking inside | |
And pausing for a break | |
We head off across Low Rigg
Sheep may safely graze | |
A good view of Skiddaw and Blencathra
By Tewet Tarn | |
A work of art | |
Over we go | |
Helped by Roger | |
John is enjoying today | |
Holding the gate for everyone
We'll give that a miss today!
We read about Castlerigg Stone Circle
And stroll over to see the stones
Some ancient items at Castlerigg Stone Circle
On our leaving the medium group arrive
We head across the valley
Wow! | |
Roger checks we are all here
And we head towards the town
Not far now | |
However, we turn off to climb Castlehead
A view of Derwent Bank (centre right)
As we leave the medium group are having the group shot taken
We head down to the lakeside
Sophia checks when the launch is leaving, while the rest of us have a coffee at the theatre
A busy scene | |
All aboard | |
For the ride | |
Across Derwentwater | |
Passing islands | |
Turned out nice again | |
So sunny at lake level | |
Views everywhere | |
Coming in to land | |
The launch continues on its journey
We walk back up through the grounds of Derwent Bank
Noticing a Corn Cockle in the grass.
