Enid is ready to go
Leading us off from the car park at Kilkenny
Heading along a country road
Pausing to watch Mike and Patrick
Demonstrate how to negotiate a cross country jump
Before heading downhill
Into the valley
Where we are greeted by the equestrian population
Before carefully crossing a very slippery sleeper bridge
Horses in coats watch on with interest
Ok, so I forgot to wash my face this morning
Our resident horse whisperer stops for a chat
Keeping the rest of us waiting
On through the village of Foxcote
There is somebody taking a photo of us in the window
Not one for stiles, Mike inspects the gate - could be useful when we get here on our Glos Way walk
Others stand watching him
We stop for coffee by a large barn
Looking in our rucksacks for food for inquisitive sheep
Another equestrian property, another steaming muck heap
We follow a winding farm track
Which leads into a very muddy path
Spotting one more sign of spring
Continuing uphill
Before picking up our outward path - "Now shall I climb over that jump again?" asks Mike
A strange clump of trees
And we make our way back over an area of grassland.

Top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds, as well as a few walks further afield. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us,see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers.
