.
A bit fresh at first as we assemble for Allen's walk
We set off for our circle of Dursley across Stinchcombe Hill
We share the woods with people who enjoy the mud even more than us
We continue
Through the sculpture trail
This chap is keen on recycling!
We head down to the bottom of the wood
Where we have a view of Cam Peak, Long Down and Downham(Smallpox) Hill
A close up of Cam Peak (or Peaked Down)
Time for a morning break
Long Down, Downham and the end of Uley Bury
We continue
Towards Uley
Ray bringing up the rear
What are they doing?
Someone is not so interested
After walking below Downham we head towards Cam Peak
Where we turn right by this new house
Two early young calves
We puff up to the top of Cam Long Down
In the winter sun
Where we choose a sheltered spot in the quarry for lunch
With a misty view to the trees on Downham Hill
Off we go
Through a small wood
And head across
Spotting the new Vale Community Hospital (blue) and the Fire Station behind
We see St Georges Church at Cam
Passing the old
{short description of image}
And the new
Very new!
Up we steeply go
The photographer pausing to capture some lichens
Before returning to the cars

As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us,see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers.
