|
| Leaving Andoverford we cross a stream | |
| Then cross a field where there are plenty of signs of the equestrian activity in the area | |
| To Upper Dowdeswell | |
| Where we pass the spring | |
| And the manor house | |
| We follow a narrow lane | |
| Finding a spot out of the wind for coffee | |
| Continuing across rolling countryside | |
| Before heading down into Withington | |
| And lunch at the Old Mill | |
| Post lunch and we have a few stiles to negotiate | |
| A little village nestling down in the valley | |
| Whatever happened to DEFRA? | |
| Our route takes us along a road | |
| Then over a stream | |
| Which we follow up a valley | |
| Then following an old railway line | |
| An oxbow lake in the making | |
| Roy pauses before a steep uphill climb | |
| Looking back into the valley | |
| We continue to Shipton Solers | |
| A ford to paddle for those in wellies | |
| And into the village | |
| A break at the village hall | |
| Then over an old stone stile | |
| And back across the fields to Andoversford | |

| As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us,see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers. |
