.
Ignored by a pig as we shelter from the rain at the start of our walk
.
At least the goat seems glad to see us
.
But eventually we take the plunge and and congregate in the rain outside the pub on the green ready for Rosemary and Steve to lead us
.
Walking down main street we pass the manor
.
And a busy fisherman
.
Resolutely avoiding temptation in the persistent rain
.
On our left are some of Frampton's old Tudor cottages
.
This one appropriately named "Tudor Cottage"
.
Skirting a large puddle we go through a lych gate into the churchyard
.
Before a stile takes us into a field
.e Woods
Where we make friends with a group of mares and foals
.
We cross the canal
.
And follow the towpath back towards Saul
.
With views across the Severn
.
Low cloud forming on the hills of the Forest
.
As we continue past Frampton Bridge
.
Along the canal with its colourful boats
.
This one obviously feeling the cold even in summer
.
Across the canal is the old Cadbury factory, now a flour mill
.
And a name to conjure with
.
We are joined by another group of enthusiastic ramblers
.
Before we leave the canal to head back into Frampton
.

top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers.
