Praying for rain - or just our safe return. Either way Dave is ready to go
.
And we head off round the bottom of Cam Peak
.
Contouring gently round
.
Before descending into the valley
.
Past an exciteable group of horses
.
Plenty of flowers along the way
.
And wild garlic almost ready to flower in the woods
.
As we climb up the side of the valley
.
Soon stopping for coffee
.
Before being confronted by a muddy patch
.
As we stroll along in the morning sun
.
Dave stops to check numbers
.
And then we head down to Waterley Bottom
.
Pausing as we climb back up the hill
.
Then heading into woods with a carpet of bluebells
.
We come out briefly onto the road heading into Dursley
.
Before going back into the wood through an unusual new stile
.
Continuing along woodland paths
.
Encountering a sculpture trail
.
With some strange exhibits
.
Looking up as new leaves on the trees remind us that Spring has arrived
.
Seats are provided for lunch
.
After which we head downhill
.
Crossing the valley again
.
Magnolias in bloom
.
And a long bearded goat
.
Mark our path back to the cars
.

top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers.
