| Impatient eyes look down
the road for last minute arrivals as Steve starts our walk from Uley . |
| And we head initially across fields . |
| And streams .. |
| Ducking under fallen trees . |
| To reach
Owlpen Church . |
| Where Rosemary has obtained the key to
give us a rare opportunity to look inside . |
| At the very ornate interior and
magnificent stained glass windows . |
| We continue on our way with views over
Uley and the Bury . |
| Not a happy chappie. We have driven
away a couple of cows who had escaped to chat to him . |
| Our path then takes us through Uley . |
| And up the valley . |
| The sun now breaking through the
clouds . |
| Eventually climbing
through the woods . |
| Maurice not sure which
side of the post to go . |
| As we reach the top of the
hill at Cockadilly . |
| Then it's over to
Nympsfield, Mike showing a clean pair of heels . |
| Three lovely ladies pausing for coffee
on the green . |
| A village where gardens are neatly
kept . |
| Another comfortable resting place
outside the pub . |
| We soon leave the village . |
| Making our way across
fields . |
| And over the road . |
| To Coaley Peak where we stop to admire
the view over the vale . |
| We then follow the Cotswold Way . |
| As it crosses Frocester Hill . |
| And heads down, and up . |
| To Uley Bury . |
| Where we soon head downhill again . |
| And back to Uley . |

| As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers. |
