.
Sneedham Green, and Patrick welcomes a smaller more select gathering than usual
.
We cross the M5 bathed in morning sunshine
.
Soon taking to the fields
..
Well his field
.
With his des res close by
.
We start to climb
.
Looking back towards Robinswood Hill
.
A pause as we reach the top for Patrick to explain that we are
.
On a new parish council footpath
.
Now looking across the valley to Gloucester
.
The mud gets rather sticky here
.
But there is a handy stream for washing boots
.
We proceed across a new bridge
.
Heading downhill
.
Through fields dotted with trees
.
Our path now takes us along the side of the motorway
.
Then underneath it
.
To a path which Patrick explains is where he and Angela did their courting - nuff said
.
We wern't supposed to see this house- on the wrong path
.
But soon get back on track
.
A narrow stile taking us out
.
For a brief walk on the Stroud - Gloucester road
.
Not pumping much petrol these days
.
We now find ourselves in wide open spaces
.
With Whaddon church across the way
.
Where we briefly encounter the Glevum Way
.
And the old parish pump
.
Before we start to climb Robinswood Hill
.
With views down the Severn Vale
.
Which we stop to admire
.
Before making our way
.
Back across the golf course
.
To our starting point
.
Just next to a piece of industrial archaeology
.

top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers.
