.
Familiar territory - the Car Park of the Falcon at Painswick
.
We soon head out into open country, John turning to check on his troops
.
Heading down
..
Into the valley
.
Views towards Stroud
.
Just a short climb
.
With Edge behind the hedge across the valley
.
A stile is negotiated
.
Then another
.
We share our footpath with a stream
.
Crossong it eventually
.
Stile + waymark - must be a footpath here somewhere
.
Our stream becomes a raging torrent from the melting snow
.
Is that a walking stick or toothpick in John's hand?
.
A pause for coffee
..
With views across the valley
.
Then we head along the top of the hill
.
Ghostly figures appear out of the mist
.
As we follow the Cotswold Way
.
Down the hill
.
Washed my hair and its gone all curly!
.
Through a kissing gate
.
And up the hill
.
Into Painswick
.
And back to the Falcon for lunch
.

top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers.
