Nearly 40 members of the South Cotswold Ramblers met for a Christmas Lunch at the Minchinhampton Golf Club [New Club ] on Saturday 19th December. . By general agreement the lunch itself was most enjoyable ; the ambiance of the restaurant added to the occasion and the staff were most attentive In addition it was a very nice opportunity for some of the longer standing members to mingle with the newer ramblers. Many expressed the wish that we hold a similar event at the Golf Club in December next year. . Fortunately the snow fall the previous day and overnight frost did not cause a problem as for once Gloucestershire escaped the worst of the weather and travelling conditions. . In his speech our newly installed Chairman - Richard Davis - welcomed members ; thanked the organisers John and Margaret McArdell ; spoke about the Group and finished with an amusing if somewhat lengthy story. . 		Mia writes, "Here are the photos from the Xmas Lunch. My camera shutter speed is really slow, which sometimes results in pictures that are blurred so apologies in advance." Well thank you very much, Mia - an excellent souvenir of a lovely day.

As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat.
