.
It's a misty morning as we head out of Miserden
.
Ducking under hanging branches as we avoid a slippery footpath
.
Heading down into the valley
..
To the lake in Misarden Park
.
Looking most eerie in the mist
.
A steep climb takes us up the other side of the valley
.
And out through the gates of the park
.
Our leader ever mindful of best practice dons a yellow jacket for a bit of road walking
.
Taking us into Winstone
.
For a look at the village
.
John with his weapon of mass destruction to the fore :-)
.
We leave Winstone
.
Heading out across the fields
.
Through a farmyard
.
Spotting a punk hair styled chicken
.
Continuing along a soggy track
.
Until we pause for coffee
.
And a chat
.
Then cautiously descend some steps
.
Through a belt of woodland
.
Followed by Bull Banks
.
Another muddy track around the side of the valley
.
And back downhill in line astern
.
Before a final climb
.
With views back over the valley
.
Brings us to the path
.
Into Miserden
.
One last stile
.
And the pub awaits
.
Thank you Richard for leading the walk and taking the photos and composing the captions
top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers.
