		Striding out from Coaley Peak down the Cotswold Way through Stanley Woods .
		A short stretch in the open .
		Before a flooded path ..
		Where we look down over the valley towards Doverow and Standish Woods .
		Then the climb begins .
		To the top of Selsley Common where we stop for coffee in a sheltered quarry with a readymade table .
		Not too bad in the sun .
		But there are signs of flooding in the valley .
		Pausing at the top of Selsley to admire the views .
		Before turning back across the Common .
		And down the other side of the valley .
		Where we now look down over Rodborough .
		Marching single file across a field of winter crops .
		Lunch is taken in Woodchester Park .
		By one of the lakes - waiting for a ghostly coffin to appear - at least that's what it says in the book .
		We pass the boat house .
		Our route taking us up the valley .
		Past the Mansion and back to the cars .
