.
We soon take to the footpath following one of the Arlingham Horshoe walks with Ray
.
Carrying on to a kissing gate standing alone in the middle of a field - must be funded by lottery money
.
Even with lottery money you can't afford to pave your streets with gold
..
Continuing on our merry way
.
Another nice new kissing gate
.
A pause for Ray to make sure he hasn't lost anybody
.
As we look across the Severn to the cliffs at Westbury with May Hill in the background
.
We now take to the banks of the Severn
.
With views back up river
.
And continuing along the river path
.
We look across to the town of Westbury
.
A last jesture of defiance before being led away for carrying an offensive weapon ;-)
.
And meanwhile our youngest member learns the meaning of the coffee break
.
Newnham nestling under the hill on the other side of the river
.
Heading back inland
.
Towards Arlingham
.
The odd drainage ditch to cross
.
Raining now. The umbrella keeps his waterproofs dry
.
The path leads round the back of Arlingham
.
To the end of our walk
.
Thank you Richard for the photos and captions
top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers.
