| We leave the warm shelter of Enid's
conservatory to start our walk . |
| Heading out through North Wraxall past
the old school . |
| Didn't get any help from the local
education authority to build this one! .. |
| We leave the village . |
| A spring gushing out of
the roadside . |
| Taking to the woods . |
| We still find plenty of autumn colour
as leaves cling tenaciously in the blustery winds . |
| Our path takes us past some isolated
cottages . |
| As we head down the valley . |
| Pausing for coffee by a small weir . |
| The waters running high . |
| We continue along the valley . |
| Then cross the river . |
| And into the village of Slaughterford . |
| Followed quickly by Ford . |
| With its famous pub, the
White Horse . |
| A farm track . |
| A bit damp in places . |
| Takes us back to the fields . |
| Leading to the farm . |
| Thank you Richard for the photos and captions |
| As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers. |
