.
We leave the warm shelter of Enid's conservatory to start our walk
.
Heading out through North Wraxall past the old school
.
Didn't get any help from the local education authority to build this one!
..
We leave the village
.
A spring gushing out of the roadside
.
Taking to the woods
.
We still find plenty of autumn colour as leaves cling tenaciously in the blustery winds
.
Our path takes us past some isolated cottages
.
As we head down the valley
.
Pausing for coffee by a small weir
.
The waters running high
.
We continue along the valley
.
Then cross the river
.
And into the village of Slaughterford
.
Followed quickly by Ford
.
With its famous pub, the White Horse
.
A farm track
.
A bit damp in places
.
Takes us back to the fields
.
Leading to the farm
.
Thank you Richard for the photos and captions
top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers.
