		A damp November day - Bernard tries to brighten things up with a fluorescent jacket .
		We leave the A38 and plunge into the undergrowth .
		Crossing a stubble field ..
		Then a grassy field .
		Should that be Kraft not Cadbury? .
		A brief walk on a narrow lane .
		Which we soon leave .
		For another stubble field .
		Bernard signals the end of the Armistice Day two minutes silence .
		As we pause for coffee at the Canal .
		Lucky girl! .
		Could be a handy man to have around! .
		More fields, more mud .
		More stiles .
		Signs of flood defence work? .
		Just looking for someone to talk to .
		As we approach Slimbridge Church .
		Where Bernard pauses to talk .
		About its architecture .
		And its windows commemorating .
		Artist and conservationist Sir Peter Scott .
		And we look around the Church .
		Then we head off down the road .
		The Church behind us .
		A good crop of mistletoe this year .
		Back across a familiar stubble field .
		And stile to our starting point .
