| Before continuing past this pond . |
| Along more wooded paths . |
| The autumn colours resplendant in the
morning sun . |
| As we come out of the woods we look
back up the valley . |
| The sunshine and steep climb up to
Sheepscombe Common causing some to shed clothes . |
| Don't look now but we are being
watched . |
| We stop for coffee at the
top . |
| Where our curious friends finally
catch up . |
| Some ernest discussion . |

| Then we head for the woods . |
| A last look over our shoulders to
Sheepscombe . |
| And Painswick . |
| Into Lord's and Lady's Woods . |
| Then out into the fields . |
| With views over the valley . |
| Which we pause to admire . |
| As well as over to Cranham with the
top of May Hill in the distance and the top of Robinswood Hill at
Gloucester just visible in front of it . |
| A short road walk . |
| Brings us into the field . |
| Which takes us back . |
| To the Birdlip road . |
| And the footpath at its side given by
John Workman . |

| As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers. |
