.
Plenty of atmospheric shots as we start off under (or perhaps inside) a cloud
.
It is nearly sunny down in the vale
.
Pam leads us towards the beacon
.
Most have dressed up warmly
.
But it is a steamy morning
.
And most remove their outer garments inthe eerie darkness of the woods at our drink stop
.
We continue along the Cotswold Way
.
Climbing up onto Edge Common
.
Where we have our coffee stop
.
Pam, helped by Ray, tries a new route across the open access land
.
And we find it quite a fun experience
.
We continue through Pitchcombe Woods
.
A zoomed in view of the settlement
.
Heading uphill we meet some Gloucester cattle
.
Some have calves, so we proceed quietly and carefully around them up to Bird in Hand
.
Where there is something very interesting behind the wall
.
A shorn alpaca
.
Back through the woods to Shortwood, and can you spot the difference in the weather conditions from the start of the walk? Not a lot!

top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers.
