.
Olivia outlines the walk and surprises us by going a new way
.
Through the woods down into Slad, and seen here checking with Patrick, her back marker
.
Was it a good idea?
.
Obstacle passed down we go past the war memorial
.
Down again
.
Patrick says hello to the goats
.
Before we start climbing up past interesting old houses
.
Busy this morning!
.
An impressive pile
.
The goats are excited to see us
.
Follow my leader
.
A pause to catch up and mop down
.
We continue up Down Hill into the woods
.
Then leave them to
.
Descend to more woods
.
Gives us a chance for another breather
.
Hello, the geese greet us
.
And a friendly cat, for our coffee stop at Dillay
.
Down we go again
.
And immediately up
.
Through the woods
.
Eventually reaching an alpine meadow - well, it could be judging by the wild flowers
.
We queue for a stile
.
Then it's across a cornfield
.
In Miserden we pass this colourful garden
.
And these strutting fowls
,
Before lunch is taken in or near the Carpenters Arms
.
The afternoon begins with a level section
.
But not for long as we descend and climb again near Honeycombe Farm
.
We pass through The Camp
.
And head down into the top of Dillay Valley
.
Before climbing up again
.
Back across Down Hill
.
The final down
.
And up to Bulls Cross and the cars
.

top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers.
