		Using the puddles in the car park John explains our walk round the lakes of the Cotswold Water Park .
		But our first sight of water is the infant river Thames .
		We cross the Spine Road .
		And head towards Ashton Keynes .
		Now along the canal .
		As we pause in the village .
		Is it still raining? .
		Poster in window - no further coment .
		A pause while John explains that the sign doesn't apply to us .
		And we pause again as volunteers are sought to lead us through a herd of horses .
		Not to worry. The old horse whisperer is at hand .
		Coffee in a secluded woodland glade .
		Before we head off along a grassy track .
		Alongside one of the smaller lakes .
		John stops to explain the route .
		Or perhaps it should be that way .
		No, this looks like a nice path .
		And we can watch a water skier .
		Making waves .
		Swans nesting across the lake .
		As we make our way across some scrubland .
		Not the sort of sign Ramblers want to see .
		Bernard demonstrates the use of a cattle prod to speed up the slow process of getting the Group over a stile .
		It's that way says John
		Then quickly checks his GPS to make sure he has got it right .
		Finally the footbridge takes us back to the car park

As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat.
