.
A familiar sight - waterproofs on. Kathy getting ready to start the walk
.
But as we head down into the woods things improve
.
The sun comes out - Brian has a smug look - he's got the weather right - or has he just forgotten to bring rain gear?
.
We continue along a broad woodland track
.
Climbing up the valley
.
Pausing to admire the view
.
As we look across the valley
.
A short walk around a field of peas
.
Takes us towards Kingscote
.
Pausing as we enter the village
.
Then continuing to the church
.
Where they seem to have a problem
.
We make use of the seats provided in the churchyard
.
And take a look inside
.
Then head off through a field of rape
.
With the occasional poppy
.
Then fields of gold
.
As a well marked path takes us through fields of barley
.
We walk down a steep bank
.
To a second Hazlecote Farm
.
Before heading along the side of the hill
.
Relieved that we don't need to follow the footpah through the middle of this small herd
.
Passing a very pretty garden
.
As we make our way back up the hill to Horsley
.

top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers.
