		Helen gathers us in the car park opposite Beaudesert School .
		And leads us off down the "W" .
		Into the valley .
		Passing the entrance to the caves which run under much of the Common .
		We continue downhill through the woods .
		Reaching the bottom by the Weighbridge .
		And looking back across towards Minchinhampton .
		As we climb the other side .
		Helped through a damp patch by planks of wood .
		And taking a drinks stop as we reach the top .
		We walk along a wide track .
		Before heading across more fields .
		To a coffee stop on a grassy bank .
		Looking down the Nailsworth valley with Randwick in the distance .
		Alex strikes a pose as we wait for the group to cross the A46 .
		And we head down to Ruskin Mill .
		With its lakes .
		Which we walk alongside .
		Before starting to climb again .
		Fortunately for us he was hidden under some bushes and not interested in attacking Ramblers today .

		As we head out of Shortwood .
		Passing a cottage whose garden receives some admiring glances .
		Lunch break and time for some serious thinking .
		Before we start on the last lap .
		Back down into the valley .
		Another lovely garden .
		Pausing at the bottom having recrossed the A46 .
		And looking back over South Woodchester .
		Past the Old Courthouse .
Before walking back along the edge of the Common to the cars .

As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat.
