| Our walk (led by Richard and Di)
starts through the village of Bisley where we stop to look at the Lock
Up . |
| We head out of the village . |
| And down into our first valley of the
day . |
| Through a herd of cows . |
| The view down the valley . |
| Which we stop to look at as we climb
the other side . |
| Reaching the top of the hill again . |
| Before descending into another valley
as we walk towards . |
| Sudgrove where coffee is taken . |
| A stile is negotiated over a stone
wall . |
| As we look back towards Througham . |
| A field of grass waiting to be turned
into hay makes for rather difficult wet walking . |
| And brings us to the side of our next
valley . |
| With Honeycombe Farm and its dovecotes
in the bottom . |
| We cross the top of the
hill to Nottingham Wood . |
| And down into the Dillay Valley . |
| Quite a romantic setting looking down
into the Dillay Valley . |
| If you weren't surrounded by a bunch
of noisy Ramblers eating lunch . |
| The view down the valley towards Slad
as the skies start to clear . |
| A short uphill climb on a narrow road . |
| Brings us to Purgatory . |
| And we continue along the
top of the hill . |
| And down into Toadsmoor . |
| Treading carefully down a steep slope . |
| Then climbing up the other side of the
valley pausing to put on waterproofs . |
| We cross Lypiatt Park . |
| Not the day for a sun hat . |
| As we start the final stretch . |
| Back into Bisley . |

| As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers. |
