.
Our walk takes us past Cowley Manor
.
As we head along the road - a small but rather select group
.
Looking back across the manor grounds
.
Patrick leaps a stile
.
And we pause at a junction with the Gloucester Way
.
Ray's sartorial elegance knows no bounds
.
We head up the valley
.
There has to be one picture of sheep
.
Another stop as we near the top
.
Before walking up a tree lined road
.
Which takes us past these cows - strange one of them has a ring in its nose
.
And we thought this sign referred to Patrick's pre walk talk
.
Still quite gloomy but mild as Ray decides to shed a layer
.
We look across the fields to Gloucester Beeches
.
Before starting the descent back to Cowley
.
They all looked at this flower - don't know what it is
.
As we enter the woods there are signs of logging activity
.
We pass through an avenue of trees
.
With more signs of newly cut timber
.
A secluded woodland pond
.
And the automatic tree feller
.
Still plenty of bluebells left
.
A good photographer will adopt all sorts of strange positions to get the right photo
.
As we return to our starting point, at the Guide HQ, someone has put the balloons out for us
.
Photos and captions from Richard, can't you tell?!
top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our Led Walks Programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the Ramblers.
