		Our starting point at Newport, just off the A38, where Anne gets us underway . .
		We head off across a narrow footbridge . .

		Lots of fields to cross .. .
		Pausing in a gateway for stragglers to catch up . .
		The deer park now rising in front of us . .
		Andy, our back marker, making sure a gate is properly closed . .
		While John lends a helping hand as we cross a tricky stile . .
		Plenty of water about at the moment . .
		The recrossing of the A38 at Woodford . .
		A drinks stop - and a chance to put on/take off waterproofs . .
		Time for some more gallows humour as John looks thoughfully at the ground . .
		And Berkeley Castle looms up across the fields . .
		As we head for home we are harassed by this lively herd . .
But we make it across their field and soon arrive safely back at the cars . .

	As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our walks programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the national Ramblers' Association.
