southcotswoldramblers.org.uk Nympsfield and Owlpen Wed 2 April 2008 . |
| Nympsfield
is our starting point and Olivia our leader looks down the road for late
arrivals . . |
| Across
the road a ghostly figure watches from the Rose and Crown . . |
| We
set off past the Church . . |
| Before
heading across the fields .. . |
| Towards
Owlpen . . |
| Looking
across the valley to Uley . . |
| Then
heading up the valley . . |
| To
our coffee stop . . |
| A
slight drizzle brings out the waterproofs
. . |
| But
is our leader downhearted? . . |
| Our
route now takes us along the top of the hill . . |
| Then
down into the valley above Newmarket . . |
| And
back up towards Nynpsfield . . |

| Through
a field of ferocious sheep . . |
| Over
streams . . |
| Line
dancing? No just an area of boggy land . . |
| Now
what are these two plotting . . |
| A
bridge crossing as we near the end of our walk . |
| And
a welcome rest for Ray . |

| As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our walks programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the national Ramblers' Association. | |||
