Nympsfield and Owlpen

Wed 2 April 2008

.
Nympsfield is our starting point and Olivia our leader looks down the road for late arrivals
.
.
Across the road a ghostly figure watches from the Rose and Crown
.
.
We set off past the Church
.
.
Before heading across the fields
..
.
Towards Owlpen
.
.
Looking across the valley to Uley
.
.
Then heading up the valley
.
.
To our coffee stop
.
.
A slight drizzle brings out the waterproofs
.
.
But is our leader downhearted?
.
.
Our route now takes us along the top of the hill
.
.
Then down into the valley above Newmarket
.
.
And back up towards Nynpsfield
.
.
Through a field of ferocious sheep
.
.
Over streams
.
.
Line dancing? No just an area of boggy land
.
.
Now what are these two plotting
.
.
A bridge crossing as we near the end of our walk
.
And a welcome rest for Ray
.

.
Photos and captions thanks to Richard.

top As you can see, we thoroughly enjoy getting to know the South Cotswolds. We try to keep fit and succeed in having a good old chat. If you are interested in coming with us, see our walks programme and ring the leader if you have any questions about a particular walk. After two or three walks we hope you will then want to join the group as part of the national Ramblers' Association.
